Review the following videos for help submitting your Individual Project:
This week, you should complete a lab activity (Lab 3) using your Jones & Bartlett electronic access to the Network Security, Firewalls, and VPNs lab. Complete the lab, generate the lab report, and submit it with a summary to your instructor for grading. Follow these instructions to complete your assignment successfully:
Access the Labs link provided by WOW using your own pass code. By now, you should have received the link and the pass code via separate e-mails.
To complete Lab 3, access and complete the Sections 1-3 lab activity under Lab 3: DESIGNING A SECURE NETWORK TOPOLOGY.
For Lab 3, complete the following:
Read the lab manual very carefully, and familiarize yourself with the assignment scenarios and other instructions before accessing the virtual lab environment.
Click PREVIEW LAB GUIDE after you access the specific lab activity.
Read the instructions by clicking on the following five sections. Note each section may have subsections:
Before You Begin
Section 1: Hands-On Demonstration
Section 2: Applied Learning
Lab Challenge and Analysis
Access the environment and complete all of the lab activities for Sections 1-3.
Click START LAB after you access the specific lab activity.
After the system finishes loading the lab, click on ENTER LAB button.
Follow the instruction on the left side to complete the lab activities.
Whenever you see the step of “Make a screen capture”, click the camera icon. It will make a screenshot on your lab report.
After you complete, click on the Disconnect icon on the right upper corner. You can select Save or Discard the changes you made before you confirm the Disconnect.
After disconnecting, you will back to the previous window. Click VIEW LAB REPORT to see the report. Click the PDF icon on the right upper corner to download the report in PDF file.
Write a lab summary in a Word document. Summarize what you have learned and any challenges you had, and how you solved them. Submit the summary (Word) and the lab report (PDF) for grading.
Individual Project Rubric
The Individual Project (IP) Grading Rubric is a scoring tool that represents the performance expectations for the IP. This Individual Project Grading Rubric is divided into components that provide a clear description of what should be included within each component of the IP. Its the roadmap that can help you in the development of your IP.
Lab Completion: Student follows the lab instruction to complete all lab activities step by step.
Lab Report: Lab report is generated and it shows the student has done the lab correctly.
Lab Summary: Student summarizes what they learned and any challenges they had, and how they solved the problems.
Documentation: Take all the required screenshots and add title/comment with them in the lab report. Organize the report to align with the lab section structure.
Professional Language: Assignment contains accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation with few or no errors.
